Which standard do we follow?

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2, Level AA, the current web accessibility guidelines from the W3C.

What's built in?

  • A "Skip to content" link, one main heading per page, headings in order, and labelled page regions.
  • Full keyboard use, with a strong focus outline that the floating call button never covers.
  • Text and buttons that meet WCAG contrast ratios, including our brick-red and mustard colors.
  • Pages that reflow down to a 320-pixel-wide screen and at 200% zoom; wide tables scroll inside their own frame.
  • Labelled form fields marked required or optional, browser autofill, and error messages written out beside the field.
  • Large tap targets, a call link in the same spot on every page, and no logins, CAPTCHAs or puzzles.
  • Motion and hover effects turn off when your device asks for reduced motion.

How was it tested?

On , every page was scanned with axe-core, Pa11y and Lighthouse at desktop and phone sizes, then checked by hand for keyboard-only use, visible focus, zoom and reflow, tap-target size, reduced motion and form errors.

What isn't perfect yet?

  • Many of our sources are PDFs from EPA, USGS and others. We can't fix those files; call and we'll go through the content with you.
  • Testing with every screen reader and browser combination isn't finished, so please tell us about anything that trips you up.

How do I report a problem?

Call (615) 364-8354 and someone will help over the phone, or email privacy@nashvillemoldandradon.com. Mention the page and what went wrong; we try to answer within 5 business days.
